Hello Group,
has anyone ever seen this problem. I was asked to work on an old database
from project I had not been on (when does that ever happen...) anyway I go
right to the database diagram to get a look at what I am dealing with. When
I open the diagram a strange behavior manifests itself: the lines that show
relationships between the tables all disappear!
I can see them for just a moment and then just one by one disappear. The
daughter tables all have a field that has a "record id" which has a PK. They
have a field which stores the PK of the related table.
Why is this does this?
RichIs this for SQL 2005 or a previous version? Are you connecting from a
workstation or locally?

Line Chart with a "Single Category Group"
Hi Folks
I have a line chart showing some data vs time. The chart is okay when
we have multiple periods (say Q1 2006 and Q2 2006). However, the chart
is empty when only period (the category group) is being displayed.
This leaves me with two questions...,
1. is this because line charts are supposed to show trends over
multiple category groups and thus are Not applicable for a single
category group?
2. is there a fix for this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Thnx a ton.Oops..., I meant the chart is empty when only a single period (say only
Q1 2006) is selected (i.e. is to be displayed).

Turns out I need to edit the data field, and enable the "Show Markers"
checkbox :)

Line Chart question
I have a line chart with three series group where it is possible that one
series will be missing data within the time range.
Currently the line is drawn from the last point to the next valid point. Is
it possible to have the report drawn with the line missing (or not drawn) for
that specific point for that specific series?
Thanks,
KevinHi
Set the border property in RS2005 to none , try something like this
=iif( Fields!<FieldName>.value=nothing or Fields!
<FieldName>.value='' , "None",
"Solid")
Cheers

I changed the report to a x-y scatter and modified the sql query, but your
bit of code helped with another issue...
Thanks,

Line break after group
I need to insert a line break in a detail row after certains groups of data.
example:
Week Day Detail
1 Mon 1
1 Tue 1
1 Wed 2
1 Thu 2
1 Fri 1
2 Mon 1
2 Tue 1
2 Wed 2
2 Thu 2
2 Fri 1
I need it to have a line break after week 1, 2, etc. Also, the detail column
has aggregates, runningvalues etc. There can't be a runningvalue on the line
break. I want the data to look like this:
Week Day Detail
1 Mon 1
1 Tue 1
1 Wed 2
1 Thu 2
1 Fri 1
2 Mon 1
2 Tue 1
2 Wed 2
2 Thu 2
2 Fri 1I would create a group on Week with no group header but a single blank row
group footer. This should be your innermost group. Outer groups will
calculate the aggregates properly. You'll need to scope any running values
to outer groups.
